From Taipei To Sydney: 7255 km
Two years ago I published a post called "From Sydney To Taipei: 7255km".
On 15/01/2015 I wrote " Travel, defined as to move or go from one place or point to another. I traveled 7255 km, the distance between Sydney, Australia to Taipei, Taiwan."
Here I am, two years later, experiencing a similar situation but with a different mindset. This time, I traveled the same distance, but with a completely different purpose. The action of travel is to go from one place to another, but the purpose beyond the action could occur in a million ways. This time I am here in Taipei for the long-term, and I am trying my best to know the city and like the city. There will be more posts featuring Taipei through my newly purchased vintage Konica C35 film camera. I used my old Nikon FM2 to captured the following pictures with an Ilford black and white film.
7255km is the perfect distance for me to grow. I learned that distance is not in geographic measurement's centimeter nor kilometers, it can be characterized by human and human characterization of the trajectory. When we grow up, we will start to cherish the innocent and ignorant distance. We'll find the most throbbing distance in our hearts, and try to find the perfect distance between ourselves and the world. I believe distance is the locus of human and human beings, and we are all practicing to measure the best distance.
