Melbourne City Scenery
I am from Sydney and love the city. I love the vibe, culture, harbour side and beaches. However, I have to say Melbourne's urban art, food, architecture impressed me. I went to Melbourne for few days and snapped few shots around the city. This post will be scenery and coming up next will be food.
First stop, you can never miss out on the Hosier Lane which is well-known for its urban art. It is one of many laneways on the southern edge of central Melbourne. Hosier Lane has been noted for the political nature of its art.
Following urban art is the State Library of Victoria. I enjoyed the vibe of the library as its beautifully constructed and is a relatively quiet library in comparison to some other one I have been to.
Ding Ding Ding, the next stop is the Flinders Street Station. It was completed in 1909 and is a cultural icon of Melbourne.
Shot Tower is another icon of Melbourne. It is located at Melbourne Central which explores both the history of Melbourne and the building's fascinating history. It was the tallest building during the 19th century and now it provides great retail experience.
Lastly, Melbourne Star Observation Wheel will give you the ultimate eye experience. You will feel like you are on the top of the world as the wheel glides on the arc through the sky. Sadly my experience was affected by the rainy weather but I still enjoyed the view. I always feel rain makes the city more beautiful and more poetic.
